Project Overview

Candidate will be assigned to support one of the numerous client delivery teams within SRA Touchstone’s National Security Business Unit (NSBU). The NSBU has teams deployed throughout the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community (IC).

Candidate will provide leadership an oversight as well as senior consulting support across project teams within the SRA Touchstone’s National Security Business Unit (NSBU). The NSBU has teams deployed throughout the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community (IC).

 

Responsibilities

Principals in SRA Touchstone's NSBU have responsibility for managing the full life cycle of a consulting engagement from the identification of sales opportunities through proposal development, engagement supervision, and achieving target profitability. Principles have development responsibilities to coach engagement managers (EMs) on their client engagements and within the business unit. They are also directly involved in recruiting consulting individuals to the organization. In this position, an individual may serve as, but not limited to:
• EMs of large engagements and/or Account Managers overseeing multiple engagements
• Senior subject matter expert (SME).

 

Experience/Requirements

Candidate's experience should demonstrate the ability to lead teams in identifying and analyzing management issues and use thoughtful and rigorous analysis to create actionable recommendations. In addition, the candidate must have the ability and flexibility to help the client plan and execute the implementation of the recommendations in highly complex and challenging operational environments. The candidate should be well versed in basic consultative techniques such as strategy consulting, root cause analysis, strategic communication, process analysis, organizational analysis, business problem solving, and value proposition. In addition, the candidate should have the ability to lead teams in a dynamic, unstructured environment with no direction or supervision. Candidate must have proven ability to rapidly learn new industries and client businesses and a track record of quickly establishing high trust levels with clients at the executive level. Candidates must also have the ability to interact with very senior officials, and be able to coach, mentor, and teach more junior staff advanced consulting techniques and methods.


Exposure to the DoD and/or IC consulting environments is preferred. Experience leading multiple teams or major high-level projects with a well-established management consulting firm is required.  

 

MBA, MPA, or comparable advanced degree from an accredited academic institution is strongly preferred.  *Active Top Secret/SCI is required.  Outstanding candidates with a Secret clearance will also be considered.
