Interoperability
Communicating the right information in real-time is critical to effective emergency response. Whether facing natural or man-made disasters, state, local and Federal officials across the nation must have the ability to collaborate and share information to save lives and assist those in need. This is the essence of interoperability, and Touchstone has been working to serve this need. Touchstone has assisted the emergency response community for more than a decade by breaking down information silos and developing process and procedures around communications in emergency response situations.
Touchstone believes successful communications begins with stakeholder engagement. Bringing key officials, responders and constituents to the same table to gain consensus on language and terminology is a critical component to ensure effective interoperable communication in the emergency response community.
